San Diego Tamale Pie 1 1/2 lb Lean ground meat;
1 lg Onion; chopped
2 cl Garlic; minced
1 c Yellow cornmeal;
1 cn Ripe olives; pitted (6-oz)
1 1/2 lb Longhorn cheese; grated
1 cn Whole kernel corn;
2 cn Tomato paste; (6-oz ea)
1 cn Enchilada sauce; (4-oz)
1 cn Green chili, (4-oz)
1 tb Chili powder;
1 c Milk;
Brown meat, drain off fat. Add onion and garlic, heat, add everything except cheese. Pour into 3 qt casserole and bake at 350 F. for 30 minutes, uncovered. Add cheese and cook 5 - 10 minutes longer. San Diego Tamale Pie printer friendly version located here. Click Back to return. |
